Detailed description
Stud earrings "Sinú"
The splendour of Central America: Pre-Columbian gold jewellery. The Sinú culture was located at the lower reaches of the Rio Sinú and the Rio Magdalena - where the Spaniards suspected the legendary El Dorado. The Sinú made jewellery from gold and tumbaga. They trusted in the power of the yellow metal: they were convinced that it could ward off evil forces.
Stud earrings "Sinú": The originals of these jewellery pieces are located in the Gold Museum in Bogotá/Colombia; the replicas are produced in specially authorised workshops (there with recourse) to traditional techniques. The stud earrings are made of 24-carat gold-plated metal combined with small ceramic beads. Size 1 x 3 cm each.
