The dream of freedom and power: Kerstin Tschech's paintings are more than just detailed or photographic depictions of horses. She seeks to bring the fascination of the horse to life: the galloping of the noble creatures, the rhythmic breathing and the powerful wave that emanates from the heated bodies of the horses. The smell of horses - that is how close the Czech Republic is to the essence of the horses on its canvases.
Reproduced using the Fine Art Giclée process directly onto artist's canvas (100% cotton) and mounted on a stretcher frame for a brilliant, authentic reproduction. Limited edition of 199 copies, numbered on the back and signed by the artist. Size 100 x 90 cm.

Painter and designer
After studying design, painting and photography, Kerstin Tschech finally decided to paint. The result is an independent, expressionistic style with energetic brushstrokes on vividly designed backgrounds. Her horse paintings made her recognised by celebrities for whom she then painted (e. g.: Athina Onassis, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum or Martina Hingis).
Kerstin Tschech's paintings are more than just detailed or photographic depictions of horses. She wants to make the fascination of horses tangible. The galloping of the noble creatures, the rhythmic breathing and the powerful wave that emanates from the heated bodies of the horses. The smell of horses – that is how close Tschech is to the essence of the horses on her canvases.
Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler "to squirt, to spray".
The Giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format print produced with an inkjet printer using special different-coloured dye- or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The inks are lightfast, meaning they are resistant to harmful UV light. They provide a high level of nuance, contrast, and saturation.
The Giclée process is suitable for art canvases, handmade paper and watercolour paper as well as silk.
