Detailed description
Object "Balansphere"
The BALANSPHERE recalls a fundamental principle of existence: Everything vibrates, follows a rhythm, flows actively with it, or drifts along with it. From heartbeat to breath to the changing seasons - we are surrounded by rhythms. Michael Wedig's BALANSPHERE embraces this rhythm. Even at rest, it exudes a special aesthetic. Because the sphere is not rigid. It is movable, and once set in motion, it reveals the true quality of the BALANSPHERE: Just like the pendulum of a grandfather clock, it swings back and forth. Silent, calming, free from the hustle and bustle. It invites the viewer's gaze to accompany its path and follow its rhythm.
Sculpture made of rust-free, highly polished stainless steel. Size 5 x 24 x 7 cm (h/w/d). Weight approx. 0.7 kg. Includes polishing cloth.

A plastic work of sculptural art made of wood, stone, ivory, bronze or other metals.
While sculptures made of wood, ivory, or stone are carved directly from the material block, in bronze casting, a working model is prepared at first. Usually, it is made of clay or other easily mouldable materials.
The prime time of sculpture after the Greek and Roman antiquity was the Renaissance. Impressionism gave a new impulse to the sculptural arts. Contemporary artists such as Jorg Immendorf, Andora, and Markus Lupertz also enriched sculptures with outstanding works.
