Icon "Christ Pantocrator - Saviour of the World"
"I am the light of the world." Jesus Christ points to this passage of John's Gospel (John 8:12), his right hand raised in the Orthodox gesture of blessing. "O Sotir tou kosmou" to the left and right of the tripartite halo means Saviour of the World. In Orthodox churches, Pantokrator icons are placed on the right side of the central altar wall.

High-quality reproduction in which the intensity of the colours is authentically transferred to the canvas. The "divine light", the background, is achieved by gilding with metal leaf. Certificate and explanation of motif and reproduction technique on the back. Size 36 x 46 cm.
